How You’ll Make an Impact

Reporting to the Unit Manager: Technical Services, you’ll lead the Mine Planning Engineering team, driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective underground operations. Your expertise will shape optimised mining forecasts across short-term implementation through to medium-term (3-year) planning, including annual budgets aligned with our Life of Mine strategy and business objectives.

     Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and continuously improve planning systems that are documented, controlled, and auditable
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to optimise mining performance
  • Review and update mine plans based on exploration, performance, and operational feedback
  • Prepare robust mine schedules that manage operational and technical risk
  • Ensure efficient resource utilisation through strategic project ranking and evaluation
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for innovation
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for your team     

 

      What will you bring?

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) and extensive underground experience
  • Strong understanding of mine design, scheduling, and technical studies
  • Proven leadership and communication skills to support a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with Deswik.CAD, Deswik.Sched, Ventsim, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid WA manual driver’s licence
  • WA WHS statutory certificates (Underground Manager, Ventilation Officer, Statutory Supervisor) or progress toward these qualifications is highly regarded
