Join the Superintendent: Ventilation to support and facilitate all ventilation requirements as outlined in the WHS Legislation and ensure they are complied with, by conducting regular underground ventilation surveys, assessing risks in the mine environment, validating ventilation system performance, and compiling plans to eliminate immediate hazards.

How will you add value?
- Conduct regular inspections and audits, specifically checking standards, workplace conditions, procedures, and resolve and/or report safety and environmental hazards when identified.
- Ensure all aspects of the ventilation plan supplied by the Ventilation Engineer are in place, including ventilation controls, primary and secondary infrastructure, and refuge chamber locations, as well as keeping the site ventilation simulation model.
- Monitoring the status of all Primary fans and refrigeration plants through the control network and underground observations
- Assist with ventilation projects and ventilation capital infrastructure planning.
- Share and establish ventilation constraints and ensure ventilation instructions are accurately recorded and distributed, including field directions and work instructions.
- Maintain up-to-date record keeping, as well as communicate with underground personnel to ensure that short- and long-term planning of the ventilation circuit with mine development and needs of the mine are met.
What you will bring:
- Possess planning, project, and organisational skills,
- Able to work independently and autonomously,
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills,
- Enjoy problem-solving,
- Possess a valid WA C class (manual) driver’s license,
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with Ventsim and/or CAD software (Deswik) would be highly regarded.
