Assistant Officer - Asset Protection

Abosso Goldfields Limited, Damang Mine, is seeking to employ the services of a competent and capable Assistant Officer – Protection Services. The incumbent will assist on all security management systems, processes, policies and resources provided in order to protect all assets of the company including personnel and run the day-to-day administration of the section.

About the role:

• Provide daily security report to Supervisor
• Ensure asset register for tools and equipment is updated weekly
• Supervise the deployment of AGL Security staff, Contract Security and Watchmen at all locations within operational area
• Inspect and update all official registers as per procedure
• Take appropriate action regarding all security related incidents.
• Assess and evaluate progress to maintain discipline and continuous improvement
• Ensure the availability and maintenance of all equipment under protection services control

About you:

• Tertiary Certificate or Certificate in Security Management or its equivalent
• Knowledgeable in Security operations
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Security Officer
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English as well as the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures
• Computer Literacy in Microsoft Word, Power point, Excel and Outlook
• Medical fitness for the position and environment
• Must possess a valid Ghanaian driver’s license and site driving permit
• In-dept knowledge of security investigation
