Role Details

Gold Fields Ghana Limited is seeking to employ an experienced individual to fill the position of a Control   Room Operator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, controlling and executing tasks according to laid down procedures.

About the role:

• Ensure planning, controlling and executing of tasks to achieve safe quality objectives, by reporting deviations in the metallurgical process.
• Ensure the achievement of qualitative and quantitative output through the efficient utilization of available resources.
• Initiate cost saving practices and productivity improvement
• Organising, coordinating and adhering to set controls in accordance with procedures
• Maintain a safe and friendly environment to ensure effective engineering standards and procedures are developed and implemented in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.

About you:

• A minimum of a Senior High School Certificate.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrable understanding of Control Room operations.
• Relevant Certificate of Competence.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills in English language.
• A hands-on approach and be willing to work long hours to obtain the required results.
• Medical fitness for the position and environment.
• A valid and current light duty vehicle license and proficiency in driving a light vehicle.
