Role Details
Abosso Goldfields Limited is currently seeking an Inventory Controller to join their Supply Chain department.
Reporting to the Unit Manager - Supply Chain, he/she will utilize his/her acquired skills and knowledge to oversee the flow of inventory into and out of the general Stores from ordering, storage, maintenance, loading and shipment to meet the logistics/material demands of departments and overall short term demands of the Company, in a responsible manner, with quality and quantity of work as a priority
About the role:
- Plan, oversee and supervise all activities related to inventory control within the warehouse
- Supervise tracking and expediting of transit shipment to maintain timely delivery to meet the needs of production
- Ensure that all materials are properly stored to eliminate breakages/wastages
- Ensure accurate and appropriate levels of inventory are maintained to meet end user demand
- Monitor planned maintenance consumables
- Put in place effective alternative arrangements to ensure availability of critical spares
- Reconcile consignment stocks with vendors
- Maintain improved trend in over stocking value
- Develop and implement obsolete stock and dead stock control system
- Generate slow movers report and identify probable obsolete items with users
About you:
- HND / BSC qualification in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution
- A Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar position
- Professional Certification/Membership in the field of Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as MS Word and Excel
- Proven Knowledge in SAP
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Strong Analytical, Interpersonal and Organizational Skills
- A hands-on approach and the willing to work long hours to obtain required results
