Role Details:

Gold Fields Ghana currently seeks to employ a suitably experienced and qualified individual to the position of Section Operator I.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective supervision of circuits as well as assisting the maintenance crew in the execution of maintenance activities.

About the role:

• Ensure all circuits are free from tripping hazards by cleaning material spills.
• Assist maintenance crew in carrying out maintenance works.
• Execute planned work in conjunction with his/her supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and friendly working environment in compliance with ISO 45001 requirements.
• Report any unsafe situation or hazards that are likely to obstruct production.

       Key Requirements:

• Minimum of Senior High School Certificate.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
• Basic knowledge of External reagent standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of CIL process plant reagent preparation and safe transfer.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills as well as ability to interact with people of diverse cultures.
• Ability to initiate, take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion.
• Anticipate, plan and react quickly and flexibly to changing circumstances.
• Must have a hands-on approach and be willing to commit to obtain the required results.
• A valid Ghanaian driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicles. Mobile equipment license and mine permit will be an added advantage.
