Role Details

Gold Fields Ghana is seeking to employ an experienced and qualified professional for the role of Section Operator I.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of circuits and supporting the maintenance team in the execution of maintenance activities.

About the role:

• Ensure all circuits are free from tripping hazards by cleaning material spills
• Assist maintenance crew in carrying out maintenance works
• Execute planned work in conjunction with his/her supervisor
• Maintain a safe and friendly working environment in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 requirements
• Report any unsafe situation or hazards that are likely to obstruct production

About you:

• Minimum of Junior High School Certificate
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
• Basic knowledge of External reagent standard operating procedures
• Knowledge of CIL process plant reagent preparation and safe transfer
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills as well as ability to interact with people of diverse culture
• Must have a hands-on approach and be willing to commit to obtain the required results
• Mobile equipment license and mine permit will be an added advantage
