Supervisor - Dewatering

The Engineering Department of Damang Gold Mine is seeking to employ dedicated, experienced and self-motivated individuals to fill the position of Supervisor - Dewatering. The incumbent shall be responsible for ensuring the application of HME maintenance management systems, processes, policies and resources provided, to meet the short-term demands of the company.

About role:

• Ensuring the achievement of high equipment availability and within industry standard
• Be responsible for examining defective parts such as excessive wear and damage

• Ensuring that all dewatering equipment is maintained in line with operational requirements and objectives
• Implementing effective cost management and financial performance monitoring systems
• Maintaining a safe and friendly working environment
• Establishing and maintaining high performance and cohesive teamwork
• Carry out responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner, thus ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements

About you:

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant certificate from a recognized institution
• Must have at least MINCOM Inspecting Engineers Certificate of Competency
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in medium to heavy duty pump maintenance
• Experience in Safe lifting practices
• Proficiency in SAP
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills in English and an ability to relate to people of diverse cultures and levels
• Medical fitness for the position and environment
• A valid Ghanaian driver’s license and a proficiency in driving a light vehicle
