Role Details
Gold Fields is currently seeking a People Systems Specialist to manage, optimise, and ensure the smooth operation of the People technology systems (SuccessFactors) used by Gold Fields. This role is vital for ensuring that these systems effectively support the business’s people management processes, such as recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implement People System improvements and ensure alignment with leading practices in SuccessFactors
- Maintain system configuration, workflows, business rules, and role-based permissions
- Support system releases and updates, including impact assessments, testing, and smooth rollout
- Develop operational reports, dashboards, process flows, and user-friendly documentation
- Prepare and execute test cases, unit testing, and support UAT for new functionalities and enhancements
- Provide troubleshooting, user support, and timely resolution of system issues
- Facilitate training, workshops, and demonstrations to drive user adoption and system effectiveness
- Monitor data integrity, system performance, and user adoption, recommending ongoing improvements
Key factors to your success include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, or a related field
- Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in configuration and support of People systems with a strong focus on SuccessFactors
- Be proficient in SAP HCM and SuccessFactors, including system configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and integrations
- Have strong data management skills with knowledge of People data structures, workflows, and databases
- Have the ability to generate accurate reports, dashboards, and analytics using tools such as Excel (advanced) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility across diverse stakeholders
- Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and anticipate issues
- High attention to detail, accuracy in managing employee data, and sound knowledge of People processes
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre
