Role Details

Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Project Manager Supply Chain Systems to lead the implementation of SAP Ariba across Gold Field’s global Supply Chain and to support the transition to a new ERP system globally, namely SAP S/4HANA. The successful incumbent will lead and manages SAP Ariba system implementation and roll-out, integration of SAP Ariba with various ERP systems and digital tools, supports Gold Fields transition to SAP S/4HANA including data quality activities and adoption support to uplift Supply Chain digital maturity.

About the role:

• Lead implementation and roll-out of SAP Ariba and support implementation of SAP S/4HANA and related platforms.
• Coordinate system integration activities between ERP, procurement, logistics, finance, maintenance and reporting systems
• Support Senior Manager Supply Chain Excellence in the set-up of governance for SAP Ariba implementation project
• Implement digital solutions (automation, analytics, AI tools) aligned to Supply Chain Excellence priorities
• Lead change management for the systems implementation, including user readiness, communication and training logistics
• Manage plans, timelines and risks across systems-related projects, and maintain documentation, status reporting and input to governance structures
• Coordinate with vendors, functional specialists and stakeholders for effective delivery and assist with vendor master updates and data compliance activities
• Optimise supply chain master data creation, maintenance and data standards including data quality metrics, catalogue management and compliance to vendor master standards
• Support alignment with Supply Chain frameworks, policies and compliance requirements
• Assist with deployment of new standards, templates and training
• Identify opportunities for simplification, automation and improved system reliability
• Partner with global and regional Supply Chain teams, ICT and external providers and support capability building related to systems, data and digital tools
• Model collaborative and values-driven behaviour

About you: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain or equivalent
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in systems, integrations or digital projects
• Project Management certification (PMP/PRINCE2/Agile) advantageous
• Experience with SAP/S4 Hana, SAP Ariba and related platforms
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and familiarity with Supply Chain systems, e.g. SAP Ariba
• Experience in functional transformation, ERP systems deployments or integration projects and audit/SOX experience
• Strong analytical, documentation and project coordination skills
• Adapt approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situation
