Gold Fields is embarking on one of the most significant business transformation programs in our history, the implementation of SAP S/4HANA across our global operations.
This greenfield transformation will establish a single, integrated digital core across six countries and nine operations, replacing multiple legacy systems with a standardised global platform that enables improved decision-making, process excellence, operational efficiency and sustainable value creation.
We're seeking an experienced Global Process Owner – S/4HANA Maintenance & Asset Management to lead the design and delivery of the future-state global maintenance operating model. This is a rare opportunity to influence how maintenance, reliability and asset management are delivered across our international business, creating a global standard that will support Gold Fields for years to come.
Working closely with Operations and Regional Maintenance Teams, Subject Matter Experts, IT and our System Integrator, you'll drive global process harmonisation, lead critical business design decisions and ensure the future solution delivers measurable business value.
What You'll Do
- Own the future-state global Maintenance & Asset Management process across Gold Fields.
- Lead process standardisation and harmonisation across all operations.
- Drive key business design decisions and challenge unnecessary local variations.
- Ensure the SAP S/4HANA solution supports maintenance execution, reliability, shutdown management and asset lifecycle objectives.
- Partner with operational stakeholders, SMEs, Technical Leads, IT and the System Integrator throughout the transformation.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve performance and maximise business value.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies and risks across the program.
- Provide business leadership through design, build, testing, deployment and business readiness activities.
What You'll Bring
- Significant maintenance leadership experience within mining, processing or heavy industry at Manager level or above.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end maintenance, work management, reliability and asset management processes.
- Proven ability to lead business transformation, influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change.
- The confidence and credibility to challenge existing practices and deliver global standardisation.
- Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or large-scale ERP transformation programs will be highly regarded.
- A pragmatic, collaborative and outcomes-focused leadership style.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability Engineering or a related discipline.
