The purpose of the Supervisor Recruitment role is to lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process across all operational areas, ensuring the timely, efficient, and compliant sourcing of suitable talent. This includes overseeing the recruitment team's operational delivery, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring recruitment activities align with workforce plans, transformation goals, and business priorities. A key component of this role is to drive proactive sourcing assignments through developing candidate talent pipelines for critical roles and engaging with the market to meet future skills demands while upholding high standards of candidate experience, process integrity and service delivery.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role
- Proficient in SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms for recruitment management
- Intermediate skills in Excel and Power BI
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

Key Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively supervise and develop the Recruitment team
- Proficient in recruitment methods and approaches, including proactive sourcing and talent pipeline development
- Solid understanding of recruitment processes, labour legislation, and compliance standards
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills to build effective partnerships with hiring managers and external partners
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruitment metrics and make data-driven decisions
- Proficient in using HRIS systems such as SAP SuccessFactors and reporting tools like Power BI and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and service excellence
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise operational team safe work execution and actively support operational safety, health, risk and related campaigns and interventions
- Lead and supervise Recruitment team operational delivery, ensuring effective execution of recruitment processes across the mine’s operational areas
- Provide coaching, guidance, and development support to the Recruitment team to enhance their skills and performance
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including requisition initiation, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection
- Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles
- Coordinate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment with workforce planning and organisational goals
- Monitor recruitment metrics and generate reports to track time-to-fill, pipeline health, and compliance with Employment Equity targets
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with relevant legislation, company policies, and safety standards
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and service providers to optimize sourcing and selection outcomes
- Resolve escalated recruitment issues and challenges promptly, ensuring a positive candidate and stakeholder experience
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the recruitment function to improve efficiency, candidate quality, and service delivery
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on responsiveness, accountability, and professionalism
