The Safety Systems Administrator is responsible for administering and maintaining safety software systems, including SyncroMine, Isometrix, and EMQNet. This role contributes to the aligning of these systems with company standards and compliance requirements, handling system administration, testing of safety developments, database management and providing user support on the systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must have at least 3 years’ administration experience preferably within the safety department of a mining sector
- Training certification in Safety Systems software
- Experience with Isometrix, SyncroMine, EMQNet or any other software system
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment
Key Competencies:
- Proven track record in personal safety management
- Proven interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills
- Execute tasks according to an assigned weekly/monthly schedule and plan
- Working knowledge of Isometrix, SyncroMine or EMQNet
- Compiling ad-hoc safety data reports
- System performance monitoring
- Correcting data on system to comply with safety management requirements
- Computer literate and competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure active participation in Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) campaigns and adherence to all SHE standards
- Execute tasks in accordance with established work instructions and Safety, Health and Environment policies and processes to safeguard personal well-being and safety and that of others
- Monitor, rectify and verify transactional data on the applicable software programme
- Manage risk modules and incident modules on Syncromine
- Manage the setup and maintenance of the Safety Systems Structures in relation to the organisational structures, workflows etc to ensure that the systems functionality is aligned with the company’s requirements
- Verify data that is recorded to ensure functionality of the safety management system modules (i.e incidents, actions, audit findings)
- Conduct audit trails of all safety systems user movements
- Manage the number of safety system users as per licenses and report
- Determine and implement user access level on Isometrix
- Review and manage the duties of emergency personnel on EMQNet, compile emergency reports and record management
- Develop, implement and maintain data reports and data integrity
- Monitor and manage non-conformance actions
