POSITION:                 Senior Advisor: Organisational Effectiveness

JOB GRADING:          C Upper

The Senior Advisor Organisational Effectiveness supports the development, implementation, and operationalisation of organisational frameworks that enable performance, culture, leadership alignment, and employee experience. This role plays a key part in translating strategy into practical, sustainable processes by partnering with line leaders, analysing performance data, and embedding systems and practices that reinforce a values-led, high-performance culture.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Degree or equivalent in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, Behavioural Science, or related
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in organisational development, talent management, performance or culture initiatives
  • Knowledge of performance management, talent planning, and engagement frameworks
  • Exposure to diagnostics and employee feedback tools (e.g., Culture Amp, pulse surveys)
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

  • Skilled in organising leadership and supervisory development, cultural enablement, and talent processes

  • Skilled at converting strategic guidance into actionable frameworks
  • Proactive, emotionally intelligent, and open to continuous learning
  • Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity
  • Experience with HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint), and collaboration tools like SharePoint

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in and lead operational safety, health, environmental and risk management campaigns
  • Coordinate the implementation and localisation of Organisational Effectiveness (OE) frameworks (e.g. performance management, job architecture) by embedding consistent systems and practices
  • Apply data analytics to support the design and improvement of Organisational Effectiveness (OE) processes and interventions
  • Support the design and delivery of leadership and culture transformation initiatives aligned to organisational values
  • Analyse performance, engagement, and capability data to inform systemic business improvement actions
  • Facilitate structured post-survey workshops and enable ongoing feedback mechanisms with line leaders
  • Contribute to talent planning, succession processes, and employee experience initiatives by embedding scalable approaches
  • Collaborate with Internal Communications to operationalise consistent and targeted Organisational Effectiveness (OE) messaging across platforms
  • Assist in organisational structure reviews, job profiling, and documentation updates to support systemic clarity and alignment
  • Provide advisory and coaching support to line managers and project leads to embed Organisational Effectiveness (OE) tools and processes in day-to-day practice
