The Opportunity
The Underground Mobile Maintenance team at Agnew Gold Mine has an opportunity for an experienced Auto Electrician to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, fault-finding, and auto electrical services across a diverse range of heavy mobile equipment used throughout underground mining operations.
This position is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster.

About the role
- Perform preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of mobile equipment, ancillary and light vehicles.
- Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge, expertise and practical application to minimize down time and subsequent loss of production
- Assist with ongoing training and mentoring of apprentices and trainees and supervising of contractors
- Requisitioning of parts and materials and processing of maintenance orders
- Develop, implement and maintain adherence to appropriate procedures and processes to ensure consistent, timely and efficient delivery of mining plans.
About you
- Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification is essential
- Previous experience in mechanical maintenance in an underground environment and knowledge of mining technologies and RCT equipment or equivalent
- Creation of Workorders/Backlogs for defects and future repairs in the requisitioning of Parts line.
- Experience with Epiroc M7C and E70S drills and MT65 trucks, CAT R2900 and 2900XE loaders and Sandvik development drills DD421 and DD422.
- Experience with Volvo 120F IT’s and Normet Charge Wagons preferable
- Automotive Air Conditioning License is essential
- Valid manual driver’s license
- High Risk license with Forklift, RB, DG is essential, EWP is desirable
- Previous SAP experience is desirable
