Role Details:
Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, you will be responsible for providing technical metallurgical information to operations and maintenance personnel to enable them to operate the processing plant in an environmentally safe and profitable manner.
This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off roster Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:
- Contribute to achieving budgeted production performance, including tonnes treated, gold produced and plant recovery;
- Ensure the treatment plant is operated in accordance with task instructions and operational parameters;
- Effectively monitor activities whilst maintaining statutory compliance;
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the Process Operators and ongoing technical support to the broader Processing Department to ensure the achievement of department goals and objectives;
- Actively participate in continuous improvement by analysing and reviewing existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements and enhancements;
- Contribute to increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of operational performance;
- Oversee timely and accurate reporting of processing data;
- Actively participate in ensuring we are compliant with ICMI Cyanide Code;
- Comply with all reporting requirements by ensuring that inspections and observation targets are met and documented.
About you:
- Australian recognised tertiary degree in Metallurgy or related discipline
- A thorough understanding of gold plant processing operations, covering key tasks including crushing, grinding, gravity/CIL/CIP recovery, elution, electrowinning, and refining
- Proficient understanding of gold metallurgical accounting processes.
- Demonstrated experience as a Graduate or Junior Metallurgist in a similar processing plant.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining the ICMI Cyanide Code
- Valid manual WA Drivers Licence
