The Opportunity:

In this role, you will supervise and deliver surface mining operations as part of our Surface Mining team at our owner-operated St Ives mine.

 

Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles. Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience operating machinery in an open pit mine in a senior capacity
  • Proven performance management experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and positively influence teams.
  • Hold a DMIRS Section 26 statutory supervisor accreditation
  • Current manual driver’s licence.

  • Lead and support crews to work effectively together and collaborate with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Run effective pre-starts and handovers, ensuring clear communication across shifts.
  • Coach and supervise the team to safely deliver operational outcomes in line with Gold Fields’ values.
