The Opportunity:

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Mine Geology team at St Ives Gold Mine. You will contribute to safe and efficient geological operations through accurate sample management, data collection, and collaboration with geologists and mining personnel.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Hold a manual Driver’s Licence 
  • Current HR driver’s licence and Forklift License
  • Experience coordinating exploration activities in a remote environment
  • Strong Field leadership or supervisory experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role with extensive knowledge of core farm operations and exploration drilling  
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral 
  • Demonstrated high level of safety standards and leadership in a multi-disciplinary environment 

About the Role

  • Oversee day-to-day exploration activities and in-field leadership
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance across sampling and assaying
  • Maintain strong safety, environmental, and cost awareness\Assist the Supervisor: Geological Services in managing the day-to-day activities of the geological assistant team; 
  • Supervision of a diverse team of Geology Assistants in the core shed
  • Ability to set and manage priorities in a dynamic work environment, including the identification and development of talent within the team; 
  • Ensure timely delivery of sample submissions; 
  • Ensure all Geological consumables are maintained.
