Role Details:
This position reports to the Senior Manager Financial Operations Australia and delivers a service as strategic commercial advisor to the General Manager.

This role is offered on a 3 x 4 days on, 3 days off, 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:
-
Maintain a detailed understanding of site operating costs, to be able to provide analysis on the various cost trends and behaviour of the local and broader economic environment and its impact on operating cash flows and expenditure;

Manage an efficient and cost-effective supply function, including two warehouses and working closely with supply staff to ensure inventory optimisation of relevant stock and critical spare items are available at all times;

Contract management of the village and mine site services and charter flight operations servicing site;

Management of the sites Information Technology function on site and ensure daily support is met as well as project roll-out and support;

Oversee site month-end reporting and detailed cost and business analytics;

Ensure the site capital strategy is executed in line with budget. Ensuring detailed AFE’s are supported with NPV’s and working closely with the Perth procurement and contracts team to ensure delivery of the projects;

Lead the site as the commercial leader in the annual strategic as well as business planning processes and oversee all corporate finance directives and initiatives regarding cost control, supply and IT.
About you:

Hold a Tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar

Have extensive finance and commercial experience within resources industry

Demonstrated detailed understanding of underground mining process and methods and processing plants. Understanding of open pit processes will be advantageous

Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage teams

Experience providing commercial and financial guidance amongst senior leadership

Demonstrated ability to create business plans and deliver timely execution

Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships

Strong understanding of contract law and demonstrated negotiation experience to achieve the desired business outcomes in contracts

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
