Reporting to the Coordinator: Processing, you will be responsible for leading and managing the operation of the Processing Crew on a shift-to-shift basis to achieve budgeted production, meeting all quality standards including cost, safety and environment. You will ensure your team operations in an efficient and effective manner according to Business, Environmental, OHS requirements and statutory regulations.

This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on 7 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:

  • Provide effective and consistent leadership for the processing team ensuring safe and efficient operation of the processing assets.
  • Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives to systems and processes.
  • Assist the Coordinators with implementation of change management initiatives and projects.
  • Liaise with Metallurgists regarding operating parameters and technical issues in relation to plant operation and communicate to relevant operators.
  • Ensure your crew has clearly defined accountabilities, roles, and development plans.
  • Use resources effectively to meet production and cost targets.
  • Respond to production issues quickly and sensibly to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Work with operators, contractors and support teams to deliver the daily work plan.
  • Assist with planning of maintenance, budgets, plans and projects.
  • Demonstrate behaviours that reflect Gold Fields’ values and promote company policies and systems.

About you: 

  • Valid Western Australian manual Driver’s Licence.
  • Completion of Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Training.
  • Proven supervisory experience in a minerals processing plant.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office & mining software including SAP highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in gold processing and a mechanical aptitude.
  • First Aid Training is desirable.
