The Opportunity:
You’ll work closely with a diverse team to contribute to operational excellence for our Processing department at Agnew.
Reporting to the Processing Manager, you’ll lead high-impact metallurgical projects—from ore test work to facility development and commissioning—driving performance improvements and future production capacity in line with Gold Fields standards and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do:
- Unlock asset performance through new processes and technology, while growing a competent, future-ready team.
- Manage the activities of business partners in a cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring that they are aware of performance targets, have the necessary tools to achieve these and that their activities are aligned with Company targets.
- Comply with all reporting requirements by ensuring that inspections and observation targets are met and documented, about ICMI cyanide code continuing compliance. Assist in the coordination and application of ICMI cyanide code compliance.
What You’ll Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy or a related discipline
- A senior plant metallurgist level is essential, with experience in Gold Processing Operations desirable, including
- Tertiary Crushing and Ball Mill comminution
- Gravity & Leach CIP circuits
- International Cyanide Management Code
- Knowledge of metallurgical test work procedures
- Previous project management training and/or experience would be highly desirable
- A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility, and relationship-building skills
