Role Details:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor at Agnew, you will be responible for operating the plant and equipment in a safe, environmentally responsible, productive and efficient manner. Provide coverage for the Shift Supervisor when they are unavailable and ensure production activities achieve maximum effective use of the plant and equipment.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on 7 nights roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:
- Provide coverage for the Shift Supervisor when they are not on site or unavailable;
- Manage workgroups and activities as directed by the Shift Supervisor including tasks such as coordinating unplanned work, maintaining log sheets, ensuring checklists, samples and reports are completed by the Operators;
- Ensure samples are taken as scheduled and production data recorded appropriately;
- Liaise with Metallurgists regarding operating parameters and technical issues and communicate to relevant Operators;
- Complete accurate and timely shift reports;
- Operating processing plant equipment relating to grinding, gravity, leach, adsorption, crushing, gold room, paste plant, tails storage and process control system;
- Operate the IT loader, bobcat, forklift, and power tools in a safe and correct manner
- Identifying and diagnosing items of the plant that require preventative maintenance or repair;
- Identifying and act on ways of improving output or efficiency of the plant;
- Assist in development of competencies of other employees;
- Provide coverage for the Shift Supervisor when they are not on site or unavailable.
About you:
- Proven operating experience in a mineral processing environment, preferably Gold
- Previous Control Room experience, specifically with Citect DCS
- The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
- Capability to complete repetitive tasks at a consistent standard
- A Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- Computing skills in word processing, spreadsheets and databases
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
