About the role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for leading the fixed plant maintenance team within the processing plant and associated infrastructure, ensuring all safety, production, legislative, and company compliance requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring company values, policies, and procedures are consistently upheld.
- Monitor fixed plant maintenance systems and business processes, identifying and prioritising continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in the delivery of change management initiatives and business improvement projects.
- Develop, implement, and measure maintenance strategies and continuous improvement targets for the Process Maintenance function.
- Implement and support reliability improvement initiatives, including asset management plans, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and effective use of the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
- Prepare project proposals and AFEs for assigned capital projects.
- Lead, coach, and develop the process maintenance team, ensuring performance objectives and development plans are in place.
- Manage fixed plant maintenance activities to achieve plant performance, reliability, and integrity targets.
- Maintain structured management reporting covering performance metrics, statutory requirements, and improvement initiatives.
- Foster an inclusive, high performance culture where employees are engaged and accountable.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, or relevant trade qualification (Mechanical or Electrical), with postgraduate and/or Project Management qualifications highly regarded.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a gold processing or fixed plant environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience coaching teams and delivering safe, reliable operational outcomes.
- Strong communicator with an inclusive leadership style and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Sound knowledge of maintenance planning, reliability practices, budgets, and continuous improvement systems.
- Commercially astute with the ability to think strategically and deliver sustainable results.
