This FIFO role from Perth is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Geology Assistant, your main responsibility will be to provide quality geology technical services and work collaboratively with the broader mining team to maximise return from the operation. This role blends core yard operations with surface exploration duties, offering varied experience across both environments.
- Interacting daily with the Geology team to arrange daily work activities and ensure they are fully planned and coordinated
- Supporting exploration fieldwork, including clearing, site prep, drill pad setup
- Assisting with rehabilitation of drill sites and other related ground disturbance activities
- RC drilling activities including sampling and rock chip collection
- Diamond drill core processing, cutting and sampling activities
- Collaborating with Project Geologists and drillers to address any drilling or core-related issues
- Ensure that sample handling and data recording processes meet quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) standards
- Complete all tasks associated with the daily and weekly sample dispatch services to the assay laboratory
- Ensure work areas (core yard and exploration) are kept clean, tidy and free of hazards
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar role would be preferable
- Experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Current Western Australian manual drivers’ licence
- Forklift certificate is desirable
- Apply First Aid certificate is desirable
- A basic level in Microsoft Office Applications
