The Opportunity:

Granny Smith Gold Mine is seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator: Projects (Electrical) to support the successful delivery of capital and sustaining projects across our operation.

 

In this key role, you will coordinate the design, execution, and implementation of electrical engineering components, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

 

Working closely with site stakeholders, contractors, and project teams, you will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and Gold Fields standards while contributing to the ongoing success and reliability of our mining operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the delivery of electrical capital and sustaining projects across processing, underground, and surface operations, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Provide technical oversight of electrical designs, installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and site requirements.
  • Manage electrical contractors, consultants, and vendors to achieve project objectives while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance.
  • Develop and monitor project scopes, schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and resource requirements to support successful project execution.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and statutory compliance, working collaboratively with site stakeholders to integrate project outcomes into ongoing operations.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Hold a current Western Australian A Grade Electrical Licence, WA Statutory Supervisor Qualification (Schedule 26) and C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • WA Electrical Nominee’s and/or HV Switching Certificate (Highly Desirable)
  • Bring significant experience in mining operations and project delivery, including experience in a similar role within underground mining, mineral processing, or associated infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure, site services, mobile equipment, and mining plant operations, ideally within WA gold mining and FIFO environments.
  • Possess a solid understanding of WA mining legislation, safety management systems, and proven leadership experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.
