Role Details:

Reporting to the Supervisor: Geological Services, you will be responsible for assisting the geological team to facilitate optimum production in the field with exploration and in core yard operations for both surface and underground drilling programs.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth, or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:

  • Processing Diamond drill core including orientation, metre marking, RQD, recovery, core photography and cutting/sampling using Corewise core saw;

  • Complete RC and Air core sampling;

  • Follow Gold Fields QAQC protocols;

  • Clearing & preparing sites for future drill programs using Backhoe;

  • Rehabilitation of all drill sites and collar cutting;

  • Accurate data entry of geological information daily using acQuire;

  • Preparing samples to be dispatched to the assay laboratory.

 

About you:

  • Must hold a manual Driver’s Licence

  • Must hold a forklift licence

  • Ideally possess a Senior First Aid Certificate

  • Backhoe/machine experience favourable 

  • Able to complete physical tasks while working in remote environments
