• Take the lead in supporting our underground mobile maintenance team at Granny Smith
• Permanent role on an 8/6 DS rotating 7/7 NS roster FIFO from Perth
Located 740km northeast of Perth and just 15km from the town of Laverton, Granny Smith Mine is a long-standing underground gold mining operation, proudly owned and operated by Gold Fields since 2013. The mine produces over 250,000 tonnes per annum and has a projected mine life of more than 10 years. About the Role
• Overseeing daily activities and allocating tasks to the maintenance team and contractors, ensuring cost efficiency and timely completion of tasks while actively contributing to their completion.
• Providing field support, guidance, and leadership on safety, work management, troubleshooting, fault finding, and quality of work.
• Ensuring timely execution of daily and weekly maintenance schedules, while maintaining compliance with work management procedures.
• Meeting maintenance targets by performing inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs on mobile equipment.
• Monitor team performance and proactively enhance the overall capability of the team.
• Supporting the training and mentoring of apprentices and trainees, while supervising contractors.
• Helping develop and implement maintenance procedures, processes, and technology to ensure safe and efficient asset operation, providing input based on prior experience.
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
About you
• Australian-recognised Heavy Mobile Maintenance Trade Qualification
• WA Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor is essential
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and build team capability
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Valid WA Manual Driver’s Licence
• Experience with Atlas, CAT and Sandvik underground mining equipment
• Experience using SAP preferred
• Sound understanding of WA Mines Safety & Inspection Regulations, including classified plant obligations
