Light Vehicle Mechanic

The mobile maintenance team at Granny Smith Gold Mine have an opportunity for a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our mobile maintenance team to at Granny Smith Gold Mine.  
 

Role Details:

Reporting to the Leading Hand: Mechanical Light Vehicle and working from our large, well-equipped workshop you will be responsible providing quality and timely preventative vehicle maintenance and repairs of light vehicles.

      This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster, 7 days on, 7 days off roster and is FIFO from Perth or DIDO for local community.

About the role:

• Provide reliable and accurate assistance and practical application to minimise down time and potential loss of production within the processing team

• Practice preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of plant equipment

• Share and display your maintenance knowledge, expertise, and practical application to minimise down time and ensure production targets are met

• Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing maintenance orders

About you:

• Australian recognised Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Light Vehicle) Qualification or equivalent

• Experience in servicing and maintaining Toyota VDJ Landcruiser’s and Hilux’s

• Experience working on Isuzu Trucks, Gen Sets and ancillary equipment etc. is desirable.

• Valid Manual C Class Driver’s License required (HR desirable).

• Current High Risk Forklift and Dogging Ticket is desirable.

• Auto Electrical experience is desirable.

• Automotive A/C ticket is an advantage.
