We're now seeking a Coordinator Projects: Mechanical to join our Sustaining Capital Projects team at Granny Smith mine.

 

This role is FIFO from Perth role, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster and will lead and manage the delivery of sustaining capital infrastructure projects across our Underground and Surface operations. This role ensures projects are scoped, designed, planned, executed, and closed out in line with Gold Fields standards and statutory requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Champion a culture of safety and environmental responsibility by ensuring all project activities comply with Gold Fields’ standards, managing risks proactively, and fostering safe work practices across all teams and contractors.
  • Uphold the company values and lead by example.
  • Preparing scopes of work and managing projects from initiation to post-completion review.
  • Detailed drawing/design review for future projects.
  • Managing contractor performance, ensuring schedule compliance, quality delivery, and cost- control during execution.
  • Foster strong internal and external relationships to support project success.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement and cultural initiatives.

You will have:

  • A recognised trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering and/or project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a variety of different internal and external business partners, workgroups and disciplines.
  • Structural, Mechanical & Piping experience will be highly regarded.
  • A current manual C class driver’s licence.
  • A seasoned collaborator skilled in planning, budgeting, scheduling, problem-solving, and time management.
