Join us at Granny Smith Gold Mine, where safety is integral to how we operate. This is an opportunity for a proactive and hands-on safety professional to step into a Coordinator OHS role within a high-performing underground environment.

 

You’ll partner closely with leaders and crews to embed a strong culture of accountability, care, and continuous improvement, ensuring safety is front of mind in all underground activities.

What You’ll Do

 

  • Coordinate and support the implementation of OHS systems, policies, and procedures across underground operations
  • Partner with leaders to build capability and embed a proactive safety culture aligned with the Gold Fields Way
  • Lead incident investigations, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Audit and verify the site MSMS and Critical Risk program
  • Be seen & visible in both Underground operations and Processing, influencing people in their working environment.
  • Monitor safety performance, identify trends, and provide practical, actionable insights
  • Support compliance with legislative and site safety requirements

 

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Demonstrated extensive experience in a safety role within underground mining, processing or heavy industry
  • Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety (Diploma WHS or higher preferred).
  • Highly desirable - Lead Auditor certification
  • Highly desirable – ICAM Lead Investigator certification
  • Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and risk management practices, inclusive of Critical Risk & Contract management
  • Ability to engage, influence, and build strong working relationships across all levels
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for safety
