You’ll work closely with leaders across the business to embed Gold Fields’ safety values, shape critical conversations, and support a culture where people look out for themselves and each other. You’ll make a meaningful impact by building a strong, proactive safety culture beyond systems and compliance. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and grow by contributing, delivering, collaborating, innovating, and developing for our Health, Safety & Environment Function at Granny Smith Gold Mine.

About the Role:

  • Partner with operational leaders to improve safety performance
  • Coach and mentor frontline leaders in effective safety leadership
  • Lead incident investigations and critical risk management
  • Conduct audits, inspections and ISO 45001 compliance activities
  • Facilitate inductions, safety meetings and workforce engagement
  • Maintain a strong visible safety presence across surface and underground areas

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
  • Manual Driver’s Licence
  • Experience in H&S roles within mining, heavy industry, or construction
  • Experience in InControl (INX) System desirable
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and build capability of frontline leaders and teams
