Role Details:

Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Production, you will facilitate the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations. In compliance with site standards, you will be responsible for all mining aspects including the development and implementation of production plans in line with short to medium term planning targets.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:

  • Be organised and prepared to undertake all assigned tasks by the Supervisor.

  • Development and implementation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets.

  • Ensure that stope designs and subsequent drill and blast plans maximise ore extraction and minimise dilution.

  • Direct and lead all members of the technical and operational mining team and ensure goal unity through concise communication.

  • Constant communications to the Underground Manager of issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in an appropriate manner.

 

About you:

  • Have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.

  • Proven underground hard rock engineering experience, preferably gold, with exposure to all production phases including ventilation and experience in Drill and Blast, ideally Longhole Open Stoping and/or Inclined Room and Pillar methods.

  • Exposure to Mining software Deswik CAD and UGDB would be highly regarded.

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

  • Current Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights card, apply First Aid Certification is desirable.
