Senior Geologist : Exploration

• Permanent FIFO role from Perth, 8/6 roster with 6% site allowance
• Newly created Senior Exploration Geologist position at Granny Smith Mine
• Tertiary qualification in Geology with exploration experience

The Opportunity:
You’ll work closely with a diverse team to plan and execute greenfields and brownfields exploration programs. You’ll make a meaningful impact by generating high-quality geological data, interpreting results, and identifying new opportunities. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and grow by contributing, delivering, collaborating, innovating, and developing for our Exploration Department at Granny Smith.

What You’ll Do
• Lead and coordinate exploration teams and contractors to deliver Granny Smith exploration programs safely and efficiently.

• Collaborate with site and functional teams to ensure exploration activities are compliant and culturally respectful.

• Manage exploration schedules, budgets and forecasts to support effective program delivery.

• Deliver high-quality geological models and interpretations to guide drilling, decision-making and safety outcomes.

• Contribute to short, medium and long-term exploration strategies to grow resources, reserves and extend Life of Mine at Granny Smith.

• Involvement in heritage surveys when required.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven leader with experience motivating and developing high-performing geology teams.

• Bachelor of Science in Geology with a strong exploration background (gold preferred), with exposure to mine geology and resource geology

• Demonstrated project and contractor management capability across exploration and near mine geology activities.

• Strong technical expertise in designing and running surface drilling programs (AC, RC, DD).

• Experience with 3D modelling software such as Datamine and Leapfrog.

• Experience with geological databases such as Acquire and ArcGIS.

• Eligible for professional registration
