The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Coordinator Electrical, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality preventative maintenance and repairs across refrigeration and electrical systems including UG cooling plants within the UG mine and associated facilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory and Gold Fields Australia (GFA) standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification as a Refrigeration Mechanic,
  • WA “A” Class Electrical Workers Licence- not essential
  • Experience with large scale industrial cooling plants
  • Knowledge and understanding of PLC systems
  • EWP, Working at Heights, and Confined Space tickets, St John’s Apply First Aid certificate
  • Current C Class manual driver’s licence
  • Committed to building strong team relationships to achieve shared objectives

  • Champion safety by actively contributing to Gold Fields’ strong safety culture and adhering to Vital Behaviours at all times
  • Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance through inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and timely repairs of refrigeration and electrical plant equipment
  • Support production by minimising downtime through reliable technical expertise and proactive maintenance practices
  • Maximise asset performance through the safe and efficient use of tools, equipment, and resources
  • Maintain compliance with all task instructions, procedures, and statutory requirements
