Underground Electrician

• Permanent underground role with a leading gold producer, offering site allowance, quarterly bonus annually, and industry-leading leave benefits
• Hands-on HV Electrician role supporting underground mining operations at our owner-operated Granny Smith Gold Mine
• HV qualified Electrician with proven underground experience, well versed in maintenance of all aspects of UG mining and surface support infrastructure.

The Opportunity:

In the role, you will maintain, operate, collaborate, and deliver as part of our Underground Electrical Maintenance team at our owner-operated Granny Smith Gold Mine, supporting the safe and reliable operation of underground electrical and communications infrastructure.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Current manual driver’s licence
• Extensive experience in electrical maintenance of underground mining equipment/infrastructure and associated surface fixed plant equipment
• Electrical Trade Qualification with HV switching certification
• Current LVR / CPR

About the Role:

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across underground work areas and maintenance workshops
• Fault-find, diagnose, repair, commission, and decommission HV and LV underground infrastructure, mobile equipment, pumping and ventilation systems
• Maintain and repair underground mining equipment including ventilation and pumping networks.
• Maintenance of surface support operations including administration buildings, surface chiller plants, RO water and concrete batch plants.
