Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) is located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gruyere was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia's largest and lowest cost gold mining operations boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile in excess of 10 years.

Role Details
Reporting to the Senior Geology Assistant, your main responsibility will be to provide quality geology technical services and work collaboratively with the broader mining team to maximise return from the operation.

This is a 6-month secondment opportunity, and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.
About the role:
- Interacting daily with the Geology team to arrange daily work activities and ensure they are fully planned and coordinated;
- Assist with production activities such as ore mark-ups, ore spotting, and collecting in-pit samples;
- RC drilling activities including sampling and rock chip collection;
- Diamond drill core processing, cutting and sampling activities;
- Collaborating with project geologists and drillers to address any drilling or core-related issues;
- Ensure that sample handling and data recording processes meet quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) standards;
- Complete all tasks associated with the daily and weekly sample dispatch services to the assay laboratory;
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, tidy and free of hazards.
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar role would be preferable
- Experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Current Western Australian drivers’ licence
- Forklift certificate is desirable
- Apply First Aid certificate is desirable
- A basic level in Microsoft Office Applications
