Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) is located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gruyere was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia's largest and lowest cost gold mining operations boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile in excess of 10 years.

About you:

Along with your collaborative and team player approach, you will have:

  • An Electrical trade certification and WA A-grade Electrical License.
  • A HV Operator ticket (desirable).
  • Cert III or IV Instrumentation (desirable).
  • Current Senior First Aid / CPR & LVR certificates (desirable).
  • A Manual C-class Australian driver’s licence.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain electrical infrastructure for the plant as per the weekly schedule.
  • Identify and recommend plant improvements to reduce cost and down time.
  • Actively demonstrate behaviours in alignment to Gold Fields Values and lifesaving commitments.
  • Ensure that all statutory and organisational, operational, reliability and safety requirements are always adhered to.
  • Complete inspections to identify faults and raise quality notifications in SAP.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repair electrical plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct general repairs and calibration of industrial instrumentation (we will train and develop you).
  • Logically and systematically solve problems by implementing sound fault finding processes.
  • Conduct HV switching safely
  • Assist with PLC investigation and repairs.
  • Ensure all electrical work activity is carried out in accordance with AS/NZS3000 and site safety standards and procedures.
