The Opportunity:

In this role, you will take ownership of key geology projects across the Gruyere Gold Mine, supporting safe and efficient open-pit ore extraction while contributing to resource growth and operational success. You will play a critical role in geological interpretation, grade control, reconciliation, and mentoring geologists, while collaborating closely with mining and technical services teams in a high-performing environment.

About the Role

• Lead mine geology projects supporting safe and efficient open-pit production outcomes

• Conduct geological interpretation, orebody modelling, and grade control activities

• Monitor and reconcile production performance against geological models

• Oversee grade control RC drilling from pattern design through to sampling and QAQC, ensuring safe, efficient delivery that underpins reliable ore/waste delineation

• Plan, manage and supervise diamond drilling programs to deliver high-quality geological data that drives resource growth and conversion

• Ensure QAQC protocols are maintained across sampling and geological data collection

• Collaborate with mining, planning, and technical services teams to optimise ore recovery and minimise dilution

Skills & Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline

• Proven experience in open-pit mine geology, ideally within gold operations

• Strong capability in geological interpretation, grade control, mapping and ore mark-up

• Experience with open-pit production environments and reconciliation processes

• Strong understanding of sampling, QAQC and geological data management

• Ability to mentor junior geologists and contribute to team capability

• Current manual driver’s licence
