Gruyere Gold Mine is seeking an experienced and influential safety leader to take on the role of Manager OHS, leading the site-wide Safety, Health, Emergency Services, and Security functions across a large-scale and technically complex mining operation.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the site’s safety strategy, ensuring strong alignment between operational performance, workforce capability, and a culture built on visible leadership and accountability.
This role will suit a leader who is highly engaged in the field and comfortable operating across both strategic and operational environments. You will work closely with operational leaders and frontline teams to strengthen critical risk management, reinforce leadership capability, and foster a culture where safety and wellbeing are embedded into everyday decision-making.
You will provide leadership across Occupational Health & Safety, Emergency Services, Security, and Occupational Hygiene, ensuring systems, standards, and governance frameworks support safe and sustainable operational outcomes. A key focus of the role will be developing high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining strong organisational capability across site.
Operating within a collaborative functional model, you will partner with both site and corporate stakeholders to deliver integrated safety outcomes while supporting operational priorities and long-term business objectives.
You are a credible and people-focused leader with significant experience leading safety functions within mining or heavy industry environments. You bring a practical leadership approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation.
You will also demonstrate strong capability in risk management, regulatory compliance, contractor management, and workforce engagement, together with experience leading multidisciplinary teams in dynamic operational settings.
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline are required, alongside substantial leadership experience within mining operations.
This role is offered FIFO from Perth on a roster of three 4:3 swings and one 8:6 swing, with flexibility considered.
