Role Details

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor: Mining, you will provide detailed technical first line support and administration of critical mine technology systems to meet operational targets in a safe, productive & efficient manner.

This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off Fly in Fly out roster from Perth.

About the role:

  • Conduct day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of OT systems, including Pit Wall Monitoring, Collision Avoidance Systems, and Operator Fatigue Systems, ensuring operational continuity with minimal downtime.
  • Implementing maintenance plans for OT systems.
  • Proactively identify faults within the OT hardware and software and undertake fault finding activities.
  • Assist in ensuring pit communication and camera infrastructure provides full coverage to operational areas.
  • Work collaboratively with OT system providers.
  • Management of Collision Avoidance and Operator Fatigue configurations, upgrades, and support requests. 
  • Assist in investigating and implementing future technology.

 

About you:

  • Strong IT skills.
  • Valid ‘C’ class manual driver’s license.
  • Recognised qualifications in Electrical, Auto Electrical, Communications, or an equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Mining Fleet Management, Collision Avoidance, or Operator Fatigue systems is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in a surface mining environment.
  • Able to work autonomously, adaptable to changing environments, and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and planning skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with critical mine technology systems.
  • Experience in Pit Wall Monitoring Systems.
  • Open cabler (coaxial endorsement) desirable.
