This FIFO role from Perth is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

 

Your role:

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality geology services while working closely with the broader Mining Team to maximise operational efficiency and ore recovery. This includes:

  • Implementing mining methodology that minimises dilution and maximises recovery;
  • Collate and deliver production and geological data and reports;
  • Document the controls on mineralisation in mapping, reports and presentations;
  • Geological interpretation, interrogating grade control models and reporting;
  • QA/QC and ensure quality and integrity of data;
  • Understand regional and local controls on mineralisation and testing;
  • Design grade control and drill programs;
  • Participate in continuous improvement of existing systems and processes

 

What You Bring:

You’ll bring your proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach and bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology
  • Previous practical experience in Open Pit Mining is desirable
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and mining software such as Datamine and Leapfrog or similar
  • Possess a current manual Driver’s Licence
