About the Role
Located in the remote Yamarna Belt, 200km east of Laverton, Gruyere is a cornerstone asset in Gold Fields’ portfolio with a long mine life ahead.
As Senior Advisor, Environment, you will:
- Provide strategic advice and day-to-day environmental support
- Manage approvals and stakeholder consultation under Environment, Mining & Heritage Acts
- Develop, review and implement environmental management processes in consultation with Environmental leadership
- Lead monitoring, inspections, audits, data collection and reporting
- Maintain environmental risk and obligations registers
- Support continuous improvement of the site’s ISO14001/ICMI/ICMM Certified Management System
- Coach and mentor upcoming environmental professionals
- Support and lead progressive rehabilitation initiatives as required
About You
You’re a motivated environmental professional who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment and brings strong stakeholder engagement and compliance expertise.
What you’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of WA environmental legislation (DEMIRS, DWER, DPLH)
- Experience with audits, inspections and approvals processes
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, GIS and environmental databases
- Leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor others
- Project management experience with developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing management programs (desirable)
- Experience collaborating with Traditional Owners will be highly regarded
