The Opportunity:

You’ll play a critical role in protecting the health and wellbeing of our people by leading

occupational hygiene strategies across site. Working closely with leaders and operational

teams, you’ll provide technical expertise, shape exposure management programs, and embed

best-practice hygiene standards aligned to Gold Fields’ Strategy.

 

This is an opportunity to influence beyond compliance, driving proactive risk management,

strengthening critical controls and building capability across our Health and Safety function at Gruyere Gold Mine.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement the Gold Fields Occupational Health Standard
  • Lead and manage the site Occupational Hygiene Management Plan
  • Conduct and oversee monitoring programs (dust, noise, vibration, hazardous substances, water)
  • Support the Occupational Health Monitoring Program
  • Provide technical advice to leaders on exposure risks and critical controls
  • Analyse data, identify trends, and recommend targeted risk reduction strategies
  • Support regulatory compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coach and build hygiene awareness and capability across site

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Health Science, Environmental Health or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in occupational hygiene within mining or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of WA legislation and exposure standards
  • Full Membership (or working toward) of the AIOH highly regarded
  • Ability to influence, communicate technical information clearly, and build trusted relationships
