The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager: Mining, you will be responsible for leading and managing our mobile maintenance team to meet safety, environmental, availability, reliability, cost and life cycle metrics within budget. You will drive the design and implementation of processes promoting safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement for the department.

This role can be offered on Fly in Fly out from Perth on a 4 days on, 3 days off roster.

What You’ll Do
- Lead safety and compliance by driving OHS and Environmental initiatives, toolbox meetings, investigations, training and audit participation.
- Manage team performance through clear objectives, coaching, development planning and consistent leadership across the maintenance group.
- Improve maintenance systems by monitoring processes, identifying improvement opportunities, supporting change initiatives and developing maintenance strategies with CI targets.
- Strengthen plant reliability via asset management plans, RCFA capability, MMS support, shutdown planning and managing fixed‑plant maintenance to meet performance and integrity requirements.
- Deliver reporting and governance through capital project proposals, AFE preparation, risk assessments, safe work procedures, statutory reporting and promoting Gold Fields’ values and team culture.
- Role model our core values and create a culture where every team member feels seen, supported, and valued.
What You’ll Bring
- Engineering qualifications with a Mechanical (or related) degree (highly regarded) and a manual driver’s licence.
- Formal leadership or management training (desirable).
- Significant experience in maintenance management including planning and scheduling, asset and contracts management.
- Proven leadership experience supporting large teams with ability to motivate, mentor and influence others.
- Experience with a wide range of surface and underground mining equipment.
- Experience with budgets, financial analysis and cost management
