The Opportunity
This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced mining professional to lead the Technical Services team at the Gruyere Gold Mine, driving safe, disciplined and optimised outcomes in a large-scale hard rock open pit operation. You will lead mine planning, geotechnical and project functions, embedding technical excellence and ensuring alignment between plan and execution. Working in close partnership with Mining Operations and contractor teams, you will deliver sustainable performance against Life of Mine objectives while building capability within a high demand environment.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the Technical Services team to deliver safe, high-quality mine plans and technical outcomes aligned to production targets
- Drive technical discipline and continuous improvement across mine planning, geotechnical and mine projects
- Partner with Mining Operations and contractor teams to ensure effective execution of plans in a hard rock environment
- Ensure alignment of short, medium and long-term plans to Life of Mine objectives
- Foster a strong team culture built on collaboration, accountability and technical excellence
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Strong experience in a senior technical role within hard rock open pit mining (gold preferred)
- Deep expertise in mine planning, geotechnical performance and operational optimisation
- Proven ability to translate technical strategy into practical, executable outcomes
- Experience working within a contractor mining model, building aligned and high-performing partnerships
- A highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence, align and drive performance across teams
Qualifications
- First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency / Quarry Manager or equivalent (highly regarded)
- Senior Site Executive certification (desirable)
