Graduate Occupational Hygienist

The Opportunity:
As part of the Gold Fields Graduate Program, you will complete rotations across four sites over a two-year period, including Agnew, Granny Smith, Gruyere, St Ives, and (where relevant) the Perth office. Throughout the program, you’ll work alongside members of our highly experienced technical team, gaining hands-on exposure to the gold mining environment. You’ll develop and demonstrate a set of core competencies, ensuring well-rounded capability across all key areas. This program offers genuine, real-world mining experience and the opportunity to see how your foundational university studies translate into practice.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Current manual driver’s licence.
- Completed your Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Hygiene, or similar by end 2026.
- Vacation experience in a mining environment is ideal, but not essential.
About the Role:
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the assets Health Management Plan and assist with the delivery of Health Risk Assessments aligned with the Gold Fields Group Health Standard.
- Participate in exposure monitoring programs, including conducting occupational hygiene sampling and field investigations, ensuring activities are completed in line with Australian Standards, legislative requirements, and site monitoring strategies.
- Build practical skills in exposure monitoring, hazard identification, and control verification, while developing an understanding of how occupational health programs operate within a large global mining company.
