The Opportunity:
The Gold Fields Management Operating System (MOS) is our global enterprise management system, aligned to globally recognised operational excellence frameworks and underpinned by Lean and Visual Management principles.
You’ll make a meaningful impact by strengthening leadership capability and operational discipline across our Australian assets through the application of the Gold Fields Management Operating System (MOS). You’ll coach, support and mentor leaders to consistently apply MOS in day‑to‑day operations.
You’ll contribute to safer, more reliable, and high‑performance operations by improving routine quality, leadership behaviours, problem‑solving capability and accountability, all while building long‑term leadership self‑sufficiency across our teams.

This is a Perth based role however significant travel is required supporting our Australian operational assets.
How You’ll Add Value
- Coach leaders during live operational routines (e.g. tiered meetings, shift handover, planning reviews), providing practical, in‑field feedback to strengthen routine quality, leadership behaviours and safety engagement.
- Strengthen leader standard work, daily and weekly review rhythms, shift handover and critical control verification to improve clarity, follow‑through and accountability.
- Partner with asset leaders to plan effective MOS improvement plans, ensuring coaching is targeted, well‑timed, and supports long‑term culture change.
- Diagnose routine quality, leadership maturity and behaviour shifts, using insights to prioritise coaching focus and support continuous improvement roadmaps.
- Promote disciplined problem‑solving, KPI‑driven conversations, and action closure, while sharing insights and best practice across assets to uplift consistency and performance.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience implementing, sustaining or coaching a Management Operating System (MOS) or an equivalent operational excellence framework.
- Strong leadership coaching and facilitation capability within operational or high‑hazard environments.
- Practical mining or heavy industry experience with credibility in frontline settings.
- Strong understanding of operational routines, leadership behaviours, review rhythms, and cultural uplift.
- Solid continuous improvement, problem‑solving and data literacy skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, operations, business, organisational development or a related field desirable.
