The Opportunity:
You’ll play a key role in shaping how our people learn, grow, and build capability across the business. As the Specialist Instructional Designer, you’ll transform complex information into engaging, learner‑centred experiences that make a real and measurable impact on safety, performance, and culture across Gold Fields.

What You’ll Do
- Design and develop high‑quality learning materials across eLearning, facilitator‑led, blended and microlearning formats.
- Translate complex technical or procedural content into clear, engaging learning experiences using evidence‑based instructional design principles.
- Implement modern learning technologies, including eLearning authoring tools (EasyGenerator, Articulate) and LMS content integration via SuccessFactors.
- Develop and maintain instructional design standards, frameworks, templates, storyboards, and assessment instruments.
- Partner closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) across Site Business Partners, Legal, and Internal Affairs to ensure content accuracy, compliance, and quality.
- Manage external vendors and oversee outsourced content development to ensure alignment with learning objectives and standards.
- Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, including timelines, reviews, stakeholder engagement and quality assurance.
- Measure effectiveness of learning solutions and continuously improve content using learner feedback, analytics, and performance data.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in instructional design, education, learning & development, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in designing both classroom and online learning programs.
- Strong content development capability and the ability to simplify complex information.
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a customer service focus.
