Our Opportunity:

Gold Fields Community Relations team are seeking a leader to join their close-knit and collaborative team. This is a site-based role where you will manage key community and strategic partner risks, relationships, and obligations for our iconic Granny Smith mine site in Laverton.  

 

This role is offered on a 4 days on 3 days off, 4 days on 3 days off, 8 days on 6 days off roster FIFO from Perth.

 

How will you add value?

    • Develop and maintain relationships with host community stakeholders and partners.
    • Lead the Community Relations team, manage budget, and contribute to strategic planning.
    • Manage all native title mining and heritage agreements, including all related obligations, relationships and activities.
    • Drive delivery of Stakeholder Value Creation initiatives through Gold Fields’ Social Investment strategy, including grassroots support, investment opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
    • Maintain and review host community employment and procurement strategies, including initiatives to support First Nations participation
    • Provide strategic advice on community risks and opportunities.

What you bring:

    • Experience in a leadership level role with a focus on stakeholder management & community relations
    • Significant native title relationship and cultural heritage management experience
    • Knowledge of native title and heritage legislation (Native Title Act 1993, Aboriginal Heritage Act WA 1972)
    • Formal qualification in social performance or other relevant field preferred
