The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Mobile Assets, the Superintendent is responsible for the execution of mobile asset forecasting, capital planning support, and asset procurement processes across Gold Fields Australia.
The role focuses on medium- to long-term fleet replacement planning, capital submission development, supplier engagement, and commercial governance to ensure mobile asset requirements are clearly defined, approved, and delivered in line with business plans.
The role provides coordination across sites, procurement, finance, and OEMs to ensure asset planning and approvals progress efficiently and transparently. The role balances forward-looking asset planning with disciplined commercial and governance execution.

What You’ll Do
- Manage the 2–5 year capital lookahead for mobile assets, aligning replacement and growth forecasts with mine plans and asset condition.
- Lead development of capital submissions and AFEs, ensuring technically sound justifications and tracking business cases through to final approval.
- Coordinate quotations with OEMs and procurement, leveraging standardisation and volume advantages across the group.
- Oversee end‑to‑end procurement, ensuring purchase orders align with approvals and maintaining integrity of the Fixed Asset Register and insurance records.
- Monitor asset delivery lifecycles, provide regular status updates, highlight risks and act as the primary interface between sites, finance, procurement and OEMs.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary degree in Engineering or an Australian‑recognised trade qualification.
- Experience in Asset Management or Mobile Maintenance leadership, with strong understanding of mobile maintenance, mining and processing operations.
- Proven ability to lead technical, operational and diverse engineering teams within the Mining and Resources sector.
- Strong knowledge of safety policies and procedures, consistently demonstrating required behaviours and championing safety values.
